National Numeracy Day Wednesday 16th May

Today we celebrated National Numeracy Day across the school. This week has also been Financial Education Week and we have been looking at how Maths is used in everyday life.

Primary 3/4 measured the playground in strides and metres. They are going to write to the local council to tell them the measurement and state their case for a nigger playground.

Primary 7 became holiday planners and planned out their dream holidays within a £3800 budget for 2!

Primary 6/7 had a class game of Countdown. They also took part in a Simpson’s monthly budgeting task.

Primary 6 have been learning all about area. Today they decided to find out the area of their own name in a very artistic way. We look forward to seeing the finished patterns.
