THE BIG STAMPEDE

Primary 1/2 had a fantastic day with the hippo. We taught him how to build and read some of our tricky words. The hippo also made a friend in Primary 1/2. We introduced him to the class dinosaur, Dexter. We read the story ‘Animal Pants’ and designed some colourful new underpants for our hippo. We also watched the video ‘The Greedy Hippo’. In the video, the other animals made the Greedy Hippo a disgusting dish to eat. We created our own disgusting dishes for our hippo. We used ingredients such as smelly socks, spiders, stinky cheese and worms. To finish off we sang a little song to the hippo called ‘One Big Balancing Hippo’.
